Jay Ellsworth Parrish
Jay Ellsworth Parrish, 74, passed away Friday, Dec. 23, 2011. Jay was born July 5, 1937 in Aberdeen, ID, to Lafayette Stanley Parrish and Fleta Elsie Galloway Parrish. Jay married Donna Marie Hansen on July 2, 1958 in Blackfoot, ID.
Jay and Donna lived and raised their family in Black-foot. Jay retired from a successful 30-year career as District Manager for the Idaho Department of Agriculture. Jay was an avid hunter and fisherman, and he enjoyed camping and boating with his family every available weekend.
Jay is survived by his eternal sweetheart and wife, Donna Marie Parrish; daughter RaNita Marie Parrish, daughter Lauri Ann Parrish Steiner (Randall Steiner), who are all currently living in St George, UT; son Michael Jay Parrish (Carey Jarvis Parrish), living in Wake Forest, NC. Jay has 10 grandchildren and 9 greatgrandchildren.
Jay is preceded in death by his parents, Lafayette Stanley Parrish and Fleta Elsie Galloway Parrish; sister, Edna Ber-nita (Parrish) Morgan; brother, LaVoyne Stanley Parrish.
In honor and celebration of the exemplary life of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, services were held Thursday, Dec. 29. Interment took place in the St. George, UT, Tonaquint Cemetery.
