Hail damage

Area farmers suffered hail damage to their crops on Saturday, July 4. This field was one of the worst damaged by the hail. Prior to the storm, the beets were advanced enough a person could not see dirt down the rows. After the storm, the leaves were all beaten down. Some of the beets lost their leaves completely. The damage to the crops affected their yield.
