Leonard Dorland

Leonard Eugene Dorland, resident of Wyandotte, OK., passed away Saturday, December 31, 2011, at his home. He was 73 years old. He had worked at B'.F. Goodrich in Miami, in quality control for 15 years then at the Seneca House in Seneca, Mo., as a maintenance supervisor.

He was born December 15, 1938, in Larned, Kan, to Frederick and Dorothy (Burris) Dorland. He married Delores Fleming on November 7, 1957, in Miami.

Leonard was survived by his wife, Delores, of the home, one son, Michael Dorland, and spouse Kathy, of Seneca, Mo, five daughters; Cheryl Burleson, and spouse Larry, of Wyandotte, Cathy Scribner, and spouse Douglas, of Seneca, Mo, Janet Harp, and spouse Kenny, of Tiff City, Mo, Cynthia Waylan, and spouse Byron, of Houston, Kan, Kimberly Wilson, and spouse Randy, of Anderson, Mo, three sisters; Mary Fleming and spouse, Charles, Evelyn Summerfield, Margaret Morris, and spouse Larry, sixteen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Glen Dorland and one sister, Sylvia Flaming.

Services were held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, January 4, 2012, at the Seneca Assembly of God Church in Seneca, Mo., with Rev Charles Whitekiller officiating.

Serving as pallbearers were Adam Scribner, Blake Scribner, Nicholas Wilson, Austin Waylan, Aaron Dorland, and Ethan Dorland.

A visitation was held from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, January 3, 2012, at the Adcock Funeral Home Chapel in Miami. Interment will be at Wyandotte Cemetery in WyandotteO. Services are under the direction of Adcock Funeral Home in Miami, OK.
