David A. Herschberger

David A. Herschberger, 81, of Sioux Lookout, Ontario, Canada, died on December 14, 2013.

Funeral services were held Friday morning, December 20, at New Life Assembly in Sioux Look out with Pastor Galen Miller and Pastor Wayne Schrock officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery, Hudson, Ontario.

David was born June 23, 1932, in the family home near Nappanee, Indiana. He was the second oldest of seven children born to Ananias and Drusilla (Yoder) Herschberger. He married Esther Hochstetler on March 21, 1959. She preceded him in death on January 19, 1995. He later married Frieda on August 23, 1997. She survives.

Also surviving are five children, Jason Herschberger and wife Sarah of Kunming, China, Rhoda Zook and husband Steve of Canton, Ohio, Phil Herschberger and wife Janelle of Holt-wood, Pennsylvania, Lin-: ford Herschberger and wife Tina of Houston, Texas, and Lowell Herschberger and wife Linda of Brooklyn, New York; 15 grandchildren, Esther, Victoria, and Aaron Herschberger of Kunming, Nikita, Jared, Ben, and Andrew Zook of Canton, Lavon, Austin, and Jesse Herschberger of Holtwood, Daisy, Pearl, and David Herschberger of Houston, and Logan and Liam Herschberger of Brooklyn; two brothers, Ura Herschberger of Arthur and Omar Herschberger of Niles, Michigan; and a sister, Fannie Mae Herschberger of Arthur.

David was preceded in death by his parents; older brother, Henry; and younger sisters, Laura and Verna Viola.
