Marian E. Lee

Marian E. Lee, 74, of Peoria passed away at 9:12 p.m. on Thursday, December 19, 2013, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

Visitation was held Friday evening, December 27, and one hour prior to the funeral Saturday, December 28, at Edwards Funeral Home in Areola. Rev.

Rod Drury officiated during the funeral. Burial was in Areola Cemetery.

Marian was born on June 1, 1939, in Bryant, Indiana. She was the daughter of William Darwin and Blanche Opal (Ebersole) Butcher.

She is survived by four sons, Michael Lee and wife Lynn of Spring City, Tennessee, Nolan Lee and wife Cindy of Arthur, Shawn Lee and wife Jennifer of Lino Lakes, Minnesota, and James Lee and wife Regina of Toledo, Illinois; two daughters, Mar-cia Spear and husband Bobby of Areola and Joyce Lee of Peoria; 23 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one brother, James Butcher and wife Patricia of The Villages, Florida; one step-sister, June Smith of Bryant, Indiana; one sister-in-law, Wanda Butcher of Angola, Indiana; and one daughter-in-law, Tina Lee of Hindsboro.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Nathan Lee; two brothers, William andPaulButch-er;. her step-mother, Edith Butcher; and her aunt, Ber-nadine Houser, who was like a mother to her.

Marian worked as a data entry operator for banks and insurance companies for many years.

She liked sewing and reading, and she was a member of the Peoria Christian Fellowship.

Marian always enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
