Thomasville Ladies beat Demopolis 48-30

Thomasville cruised past Demopolis, 48-30, Tuesday, Jan. 27, in girls basketball action.

The Lady Tigers from Thomasville won the cat fight with a stifling defense that limited Demopolis to only 8 points in the first half and took an, 18-8, halftime lead.

Thomasville forced 23 Demopolis turnovers and watched as Demopolis self-destructed from the free throw line, connecting on only 4 of 14 attempts.

Thomasville continued to apply the defensive pressure in the third quarter, limiting Demopolis to only three points in the period.

Kyrea Rowe led Thomasville in scoring with 15 points and Shelby Crawford dropped in 14.

Shay Smith and Demekia Marshall led Demopolis with six points apiece. Demopolis was without the services of team captain Valissa Sams, who missed the game because of an illness.
