Diabetes meetings focus on dental health

CopyGood dental health is the topic of the two Mason General Hospital & Family of Clinics diabetes support group meetings in January.
The Allyn Diabetes Support Group meeting is presented from 1 to 2 p.m. Jan. 23 in the Port of Allyn building's downstairs meeting room.
The guest speaker is Stephen K. Edwards, who practices dentistry at Shelton Dental Clinic and Elma Family Dental. Edwards will explain how good dental health affects diabetes management, how to recognize and handle dental emergencies, and provide tips on good dental practices. Family members and loved ones are invited to attend for the support they provide, and for their own dental health.
The Shelton Diabetes Support Group meets from 1 to 2 p.m. Jan. 16 in the Washington meeting room at the hospital in Shelton. The guest speaker is Katherine Ketcher, who practices dentistry at Shelton Dental.
