Visitation restrictions for children under age 12 have been lifted at Verde Valley Medical Center, effective March 18.

The Infection Prevention Committee at Northern Arizona Healthcare's Verde Valley Medical Center has been monitoring the weekly Arizona Department of Health Services and Yavapai County Community Health Services statistics for influenza and respiratory syncytial virus cases, which have consistently and steadily declined in Yavapai County and across the state.

Children under age 12 are now allowed to visit clinical areas of the hospital.

VVMC reminds visitors and patients to cover your cough and practice hand hygiene. Anyone with visible signs of an illness is asked to refrain from visiting patients in the hospital.

Verde Valley Medical Center is a member of Northern Arizona Healthcare, which also provides health care services through Flagstaff Medical Center, Team Health, Verde Valley Medical Clinic, Cancer Centers of Northern Arizona Healthcare, EntireCare Rehab & Sports Medicine, Fit Kids of Arizona, Guardian Air, Heart & Vascular Center of Northern Arizona, Northern Arizona Homecare, Northern Arizona Hospice and Valley View Care.

Visit the WMC website for more information on programs and services.
