No children were injured after a school bus was rear-ended by another vehicle last Friday.

Washington State Patrol trooper Russ Winger said the 2002 Bluebird school bus was transporting 14 Hood Canal School students southbound on state Route 119 when it was read-ended by Mary Murray, 55, of Hoodsport.

"Murray was transported to Mason General Hospital with minor injuries. She was cited for negligent driving.

The school bus drove away from the scene of the crash, but Murray's 2010 Chevrolet HHR was totaled.

Winger said the bus was approaching U.S. Highway 101 when the crash occurred, closing the road for at least 20 minutes.
