Woman injures self after attempting to push vehicle
A Belfair woman was not seriously injured Wednesday morning after she was run over by her own car.
Mason County Sheriffs Office Chief Deputy Ryan Spurling said the woman was trying to push her Jeep Grand Cherokee up a slight grade to the Chevron gas station on state Route 3 when the accident occurred.
The woman slipped while pushing the vehicle up the hill and it ran "slowly over her mid-section," Spurling said.
"She was up and walking around by the time police got there," Spurling said.
The woman was transported to Harrison Medical Center in Bremerton as a precautionary measure.
