With soggy ground after heavy rains in Marengo County, just getting off the pavement a little bit caused this wood chips hauler to topple over. Multiple departments responded to the single vehicle accident Saturday, Jan 11, on Highway 10 West of Coxheath. An 18 wheeler loaded with wood chips ran off the highway causing the loaded trailer to flip over onto its side. The cab of the semi rig also rolled on its side. There were no injuries. Assisting in the accident and traffic control until the road was cleared was the South Marengo Fire Rescue, Sweet Water VFD, Dixon's Mill VFD, AMSTAR, Marengo Sheriff's Department, and the Alabama State Troopers. The road was partially blocked with the clean up for over five hours. The truck was listed to Richard Sisson Trucking of Philadelphia. MS.
