Blood Alley kills again
This Mazda automobile was crushed from the back end when it hit a concrete bridge abutment on Highway 80, Saturday, March 8. Harvey Lee Hester, 56 year old back male of Uniontown, died instantly. Hester was hurrying to Demopolis to pick up a friend when it appears the right front tire on his car blew out. The Mazda spun around and was hurtling down Blood Alley backward and left the pavement on the east bound lane. When it hit the solid concrete wall, the rear end of the car was crushed under the driver's seat. Paramedics from Uniontown came and cut the car apart to extract his body. Harvey is a resident of Uniontown but lived in Birmingham. He is kin to the ex-police chief of Uniontown Robert Hester. Alabama State Trooper Kevin Bell was the investigating officer.
