Volunteers needed for county lodging tax committee

Mason Comity is seeking volunteers to serve on its Lodging Tax Advisory Committee. The committee has two open positions for people involved in activities eligible to receive lodging tax revenue.

The committee is appointed by the Mason County Board of Commissioners and includes representatives from businesses that generate lodging tax, such as hotels, and representatives from organizations that spend the revenue.

The committee reviews requests for lodging tax funding and makes recommendations to the county commission regarding the use of lodging tax money. The committee meets once a month dining regular business hours.
