Certified organic garden plots available for leasing

For those interested in organic gardening, the Hood Canal Salmon Center has several P-Patch plots available for lease to any community member.

Certified 10-feet-by-10 feet organic plots are available for $25 and eight volunteer hours on the center's organic farm.

The garden has mulch, compost and manure available at no charge, and also has a designated storage shed so gardeners can keep tools and equipment stored on-site.

Gardeners are required to provide proof that anything planted in the plot is certified organic.
