Shanna Hallmark and Daniel Madewell of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, adopted Button from the Humane Society of Grove and Grand Lake.

Button, a female Boston Terrier mix, was found abandoned on a road and brought to the Humane Society. Button was lucky enough to be fostered by a foster parent volunteer until ready for adoption. Once Button's picture appeared in the local newspapers as "Pet of the Week" and on the Humane Society's website, the calls started pouring in to the shelter.

Shanna was the first person to call, and that was all it took to place this sweet Boston Terrier Mix in her "forever" home. Shanna already had a male Boston Terrier mix named Little Bear, and she was looking for a special companion for him. Button and Little Bear look so much alike and have become the best of friends.

Just another successful "Happy Tails" adoption story the Humane Society is happy to share. Many wonderful dogs and cats remain at the Humane Society's shelter which is located two miles East of downtown Grove on Highway 10.

Each one has a sad story to tell as to why they are at the shelter and not with a loving family. Wouldn't you like to be one of the many individuals who have opened their hearts and homes to the homeless pets that are looking for their "forever" home.

Please contact the Humane Society today at 918-786-7630 and ask about adoption or how you can help the Humane Society help these homeless animals.

And please don't forget the importance of spaying or neutering your pet to end pet overpopulation. The Humane Society is dedicated to ending this crisis by offering a low-cost spay/neuter program to the public. Contact the Humane Society to make an appointment for your pet, or contact your local veterinarian today. Visit the Humane Society website at www.hu manesocietyofgrove.com for more information.
