Grove Humane Society Pet Adoption Day at Atwoods in Vinita, February 7

Adopt a pet and save a life! Animal shelters are the best source for looking for a pet. The Humane Society of Grove and Grand Lake will have a Pet Adoption Day at Atwoods in Vinita, Oklahoma, on Saturday, February 7. The adoption will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Puppies and dogs of all colors, sizes, and ages will be available. Cats and kittens will not be at Atwoods, but are available for adoption at the shelter in Grove. The Humane Society shelter is at full capacity and must find loving homes for the animals that have been abandoned or surrendered to the shelter. The adoption fee during Pet Adoption Day is $50 which includes spaying or neutering and vaccinations. New pictures of the shelter animals are being added weekly. If you are considering a new pet, please consider adopting a pet from the Humane Society and give these animals the second chance they deserve.

Stop Pet Overpopulation and the number of abandoned animals. Pet owners must be responsible and spay or neuter their animals to reduce the pet overpopulation in the Grand Lake area. The Humane Society will be sponsoring a low-cost spay and neuter clinic on February 28 and March 1. Pre-registration and payment for this clinic are required prior to these dates to reserve space for your pet. Interested pet owners may sign up with the Humane Society members at the Atwoods Pet Adoption on Saturday.
