Sagos directs sales at adventure group

Verde Valley Adventure Group announces the appointment of John C. Sagos as director of group sales and marketing. He represents Out of Africa, Blazin' M Ranch and Predator Zip Line, all located in the Verde Valley.

His focus is to promote the attractions as a group destination option for conferences, retreats, team-building events, incentive programs, sales team programs, employee outings or other off-site group activities.

Sagos has worked in the hospitality industry for more than 25 years in sales and marketing for some distinctive hotels and resorts. He has managed the sales and marketing efforts for such properties as L' Auberge de Sedona, Amara Resort and Spa, Resort at Squaw Creek in Lake Tahoe, Renaissance Pare 55 in San Francisco, Beverly Hills Hotel, The Ritz-Carlton Washington, D.C., and the Hotel Inter-Continental Atlanta.

He earned a bachelor of business administration from the University of Georgia with a major in marketing. He is an active member of the Arizona Chapters of Meeting Professionals International, Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International and the Arizona Society of Association Executives.
