Neatherlin announces re-election campaign
Mason County Commissioner Randy Neatherlin announced his re-election bid in a news release last week.
The commissioner is seeking re-election to the office for a second term this fall.
"I just try to help wherever I can," he said in the release. "My job is to listen, to learn, and to assist in guiding a responsible government which serves the people of this county to the best of our ability."
As commissioner, Neatherlin has chaired both the Hood Canal Coordinating Council and the Alliance For a Healthy South Sound. He's also been involved with Veterans Affairs, Mason Transit Authority and Parks & Trails Development in the county.
After serving six years on the Port of Allyn Commission, Neatherlin was elected to the County Commission in 2012 as an independent.
He has again filed with the PDC as an independent.
Neatherlin was originally elected in 2012 and chaired the board in 2015, which is also comprised of Terri Jeffreys and Tim Sheldon. He serves as District 1 commissioner, which includes the North Mason area, Allyn and Belfair.
