Taco Bell is coming to Belfair

Belfair is about to become a four-fast-food-franchises town.

A Taco Bell restaurant is under construction next to the busy intersection of state Route 3 and NE Clifton Lane.

The franchise, which Orchard Foods of Silverdale owns, is scheduled to open sometime in March, said Jeff Edwards, the superintendent and project manager for Seattle-based Master Construction Corp.

Ground for the Taco Bell was broken in October. Edwards said he has constructed 30 Taco Bell buildings in Washington and Oregon during the past 50 years.

The 2,200-square-foot building is easy to spot; purple is one of its prominent colors.

Taco Bell will be the fourth fast-food restaurant to open in Belfair, joining Dairy Queen, McDonald's and Subway.
