Bowman is N.F.A.A. State Champion

Mel Bowman from American Falls earned the title of National Field Archery Association Idaho State Champion in Nampa on Saturday, Jan. 14, and Sunday, Jan. 15. Archers from all over Idaho traveled to Nampa to compete for the title.

Bowman won by shooting a 299 19x out of a possible 300 30x on day one and then day two shooting a 300 19x for a two day total of 599 38x.

Second place went to Taylor Lind with a two day total of 597 41x and third went to Danny Aden with a two day score of 594 4 lx count.

Bowman is a Pro Staff Shooter with Martin Archery. He is also a Staff Shooter for Easton Archery, Sure-Loc, Stone Mountain Bowstrings, Limbsaver, and Carter Enterprises.

He will next compete in the N.F.A.A. World Archery Festival in Las Vegas, NV, Friday, Feb. 10, through Sunday, Feb. 12.
