On Christmas Eve, our beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Jack Nelson Hanna Sr., joined the Heavenly Choir. It was that day in the year he usually directed a choir drama or sang a solo, praising the baby Jesus.

He was born Nov. 14, 1928 in North Baltimore, Ohio and graduated from Findlay High School, before attending Cincinnati's Christian University, where he met and married his wife, Watseka Weber Hanna. They were married in Louisville, Kentucky on June 1, 1948. He served as a pastor in several churches and, later, worked in the copper mining industry.
