The community of Cerro Gordo will be hosting a benefit to help raise money for Lindly and Larry Leischner's living and medical expenses on Saturday, November 14 from 2:00-9:00 p.m. at the Cerro Gordo Civic Center located at 304 E. North Street in Cerro Gordo.

Larry has been a volunteer firefighter for the Cisco Fire Department for thirteen years and has helped save numerous fives during that time.

His wife Lindly was diagnosed in March of this year with an Intraosseous Meningioma brain tumor.

Since her diagnosis, she has endured five different brain surgeries one from which she contracted a Staph infection.

She faces multiple surgeries and treatments in the future as well.

The family has gone from two incomes to one as Lindly is no longer able to work so the community of Cerro Gordo is inviting you to come out and show your support for this wonderful family.

At the fundraiser there will be a pulled pork meal served all day for $10 per adult while kids under 10 are FREE!

There is going to be a silent auction, 50/50 raffle, huge bake sale, kid's crafts and live music in the evening.

There has also been an account set up at The State Bank of Cerro Gordo for monetary donations to the Leischner family. The address for the bank is PO Box 440, Cerro Gordo, IL 61818.

The community of Cerro Gordo thanks you in advance for your support!
