Grand Prairie Arts Guild meets
Five members of the Grand Prairie Arts and Crafts Guild met in the beautiful Ulm home of Guild president Susan Leder.
Leder called the meeting to order. Secretary JoEllen Jackson read the minutes of the last meeting. Treasurer Alice Inman gave the financial status of the group. Both reports were accepted by members as read.
Business discussed included a confirmation of the next several meeting locations and hostesses. The February meeting will be held on Feb. 6 at Annette's Antiques on Main Street in Stuttgart. This location has become a favorite of the group, as has Annette herself.
The next few months' meetings are as follows:
March — Margaret Cazort's home in DeWitt.
April — the Spring Garden Show in DeWitt, possibly at a different time than usual.
May — the home of member Florence Duffy, assisted by JoEllen Jackson.
June — the home of newest member Shelley Barber, co-owner of ZBar Taxes.
New business brought a request by Leder for members to bring a framed piece of their own artwork to her by Jan. 25. It is being used the week of Feb. 1 for a gallery show at Phillips Community College in Stuttgart.
