Alabama Treasure Forest 2010 Conference, Tour

Alabama Treasure Forest 2010 Conference and Tour titled, "2010 The Year of Family and Friends."

The event will be held on Friday & Saturday, September 17 & 18, 2010 at the Pike County Cattlemen's Park U.S. Highway 231, S., 4 miles South of Troy, Alabama 36081

Friday activities include a luncheon, evening banquet with a live auction, rodeo performance, and afternoon sessions; Land Management, The Role Bird of Prey Play, Ferrell Hog Management, and Self Reliance and Sustainability on Your Land.

Saturday will start with a prayer breakfast, followed by a tour of Gene and J ana Renfroe's TREASURE Forest. Participants will see and learn about wildlife, timber, and recreation management within an aesthetically beautiful setting.

This year's event is hosted by the Pike County Chapter of the Alabama TREASURE Forest Association along with planning partners: Crenshaw County Chapter, Dale County Chapter, Cattlemen's Association, Alabama Farmers Federation, USDA Farm Service Agency, Alabama Forestry Commission, Alabama Cooperative Extension System, Soil and Water Conservation Districts, and Natural Resources Conservative Service
